Calgary Zoo

I went to the Calgary Zoo today with Mommy, Rowan, Charlotte, Aunty Ellen and Lilly. We went around the whole park, starting out in Africa and ending in the Prehistoric Park.
 These guys were really cute.

After Africa we saw the penguins,
and a peacock opened its feathers for us in the flamingo cage.
We couldn't find the real elephants...
... but we had lots of fun playing with the stone versions!

My favourite animal at the Zoo was the tiger,
and Lilly's was the Komodo Dragon - which is new this year, I think.

  1. Tigers are too darned scary for me. The zoo used to have that humungous Siberian Tiger that was so long, it was like a black and yellow parade walking past. Absolutely huge. A friend and I took little Natasha, the adoptive daughter of some other friends, who was about four at the time - and she and I just gaped at each other as this monster strolled past us just beyond the fence. Tash was one of those unwanted girl babies from China, adopted by friends in Vancouver. She is now nineteen and attending the University of British Columbia.

It's just as well you didn't take Dad to the Zoo. I always had trouble getting him out of the Gorilla House.
